Just didn't want the community to die, and heard of a possible clearing out of communities that aren't regularly updated.

7:10 pm - Rachael Ray Cookbooks ...

dougdine

I have two extra (duplicates) Rachael Ray cookbooks. Yum-o! and 30-Minute Meals 2. Both are brand new. Will sell or trade. You can leave a message here or e-mail me; dougdine (at) gmail (dot) com.

I have been meaning to participate in this community, but haven't had time. Tomorrow though, I will be making the Italian Mini Meat Loaves with Mac and Three Cheeses and will try to post the results.

4:42 pm - RR sued by accountant

weisshund
Rachael popped up in this item in the "Names and Faces" column in today's Detroit Free Press.
Sued: TV talk host Rachael Ray by former accountant Aaron Ferguson. He filed a $1-million lawsuit saying he was forced out of his job because he has an eating disorder. Ferguson says in papers filed in Manhattan's state Supreme Court that he has suffered from anorexia for about six years and his supervisor repeatedly exhibited "hostile behavior" and made vile, discriminatory and hurtful comments.

12:10 pm - Romaine Salad with Red Onions, Walnuts and Orange Vinaigrette

susies1955
I made the Romaine Salad with Red Onions, Walnuts and Orange Vinaigrette. I really didn't think we would like it with what the dressing had in it but it was VERY surprisingly good. :)

Romaine Salad with Red Onions, Walnuts and Orange Vinaigrette

Recipe courtesy Rachael Ray

1 cup walnut pieces
1 sack pre-washed chopped romaine or 2 hearts, chopped, about 6 cups
1/2 red onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon orange marmalade
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 small sprig rosemary, stripped and finely chopped or 1/2 teaspoon dried, crushed
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil, eyeball it
Salt
Toast nuts over low heat in a small skillet until crisp and fragrant. Place romaine in salad bowl and scatter the red onions down over the greens. In a small bowl, combine the marmalade, red pepper flakes, balsamic vinegar and fresh or dried rosemary using a fork or small whisk. Drizzle extra-virgin olive oil into the dressing until combined. Season the dressing with salt, to taste. Dress and toss salad and adjust seasoning.

susies1955
This is from the Rachael Ray March 2007 magazine. It is actually a recipe for kids to do with a grown up.

It was awesome.
I left out the basil and just added about a teaspoon of dry basil and I added about 8 slices of cut up bacon. Loved it.

5:30 pm - Buffalo Chicken Salad (YUMMO!)

susies1955

I made Rachael's Buffalo Chicken Salad and it was "OH SO GOOD"! The only changes were that I don't care for hot stuff so I used just 1 teaspoon of hot sauce and filled the rest of the 1/4 cup with Mild Taco Sauce and I added cut chives to the top. It was so good.
I will defiantly be making this again.

6:25 pm - Pretty new to Rachael Ray and looking for help......

susies1955
Hi Everyone,
I'm pretty new to Rachael Ray. I tried watching her several years ago and just didn't get into what I saw. I tried again a few months ago and loved the show. I watched quite a few before I tried any recipes.
I've made quite a few of her recipes and have loved everyone.
I'm 52 and married 34 years. In all of those years I did get into bread baking, cake from scratch, cookies and meals were pretty much your basic cheeseburger, hot dogs, meatloaf, shake and bake pork and chicken and potatoes but very plain and boring and a few out of the can vegetables.
I've got all but four of Rachael's books and I'm loving her Furi 5" knife.
I have had quite a few questions pop up and I'm hoping that I can turn to all of you for help when I need it.
I will probably post some questions at a  later time.
This is the second dish I tried. The first one was Meatball And Macaroni Soup but I forgot to take a photo.
This is Pork Chops With Home Made Apple Sauce(Page 90 Top 30 Minute Meals Comfort Food) and Stuffed Potato With The Works ( Page 46 30 Minute Meals 2)!
Pork Chops With Home Made Apple Sauce and Stuffed Potatoes With The Works!
Hope you all come back out of the wood work. :)
